Trump Bombs Iran
Israel bombed Iran on Friday June 13, 2025. Iran then started bombing Israel with ballistic missiles, penetrating the Iron Dome that was supposed to keep Israel safe. On Saturday, June 21, 2025 Trump bombed Iran. Specifically, Trump bombed 3 nuclear test sites, Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
In response to the attack, Iran bombed the American military base, Al Udeid, in Qatar today. Iran warned Qatar and the USA ahead of the attack.[1]
In addition, the Tehran Times said that rich Persian Gulf nations should dump their treasuries. They call out the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.[2]
In an article entitled, Your Treasuries Pay for the Bombs — Get Out While You Can, they write,
“Iran has made no secret of its ability to respond. Its missile capabilities, cyber warfare units, and regional friends are ready to act. Iran could—and likely will—target the economic lifelines and strategic assets of those who enabled the war.
To the companies that invest in US treasury bonds: You may think you were investing for stability, yield, or geopolitical alignment. But what you’ve actually done is finance an enemy of your own region. And now, as the war rages, you are among the first to pay the price.
The time for reflection is over. The time for action is now.
If you haven’t already, pull out of U.S. Treasury markets immediately. Freeze exposure to U.S. government securities. Redirect capital toward safe, non-militarized investments. Your survival depends on it.
What you thought was a ‘safe haven’ might just be a could be a one-way ticket to disaster.
Because if you stay in, you won’t just be funding the war—you’ll be paying for your own destruction. Pull out now. Before it’s too late.”
According to Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time that he said this in 2010, “The most significant threat to our national security is our debt.”
Going bankrupt for Israel is not in America’s interest. If war with Iran were popular, then Congress would vote to declare war.
Per Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 only Congress has the power to declare war.
To quote Alexander Hamilton persuading the people of New York to adopt the Constitution in 1788 in Federalist 69,[3]
“Secondly; the President is to be Commander in Chief of the army and navy of the United States. In this respect his authority would be nominally the same with that of the King of Great-Britain, but in substance much inferior to it. It would amount to nothing more than the supreme command and direction of the military and naval forces, as first General and Admiral of the confederacy; while that of the British King extends to the declaring of war and to the raising and regulating of fleets and armies; all which by the Constitution under consideration would appertain to the Legislature.”
Unfortunately, AIPAC bribes- and Epstein blackmailed- American politicians to violate the Constitution to benefit Israel. The Speaker of the House tweeted that he didn’t call for a vote for war because Congress was on vacation and the situation was dire. What a liar.
Speaker Johnson is a liar because on Tuesday, June 17, Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky (R) said that he would bring up a vote for an authorization of use of military force (AUMF) with Representatives Ro Khanna of California (D). Basically, in response to the President taking the United States to war without Congressional authorization since WWII, Congress came up with the War Powers Act in 1973, where they can vote to have the President end the war in 60-90 days.[4]
Massie was trying to get ahead of Trump using the AUMF from the 9-11 attacks, by explicitly not authorizing the war. The text of the bill reads,[5]
“Congress hereby directs the President to terminate the use of United States Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran or any part of its government or military, unless explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or specific authorization for use of military force against Iran.”
Massie and Khanna made their case on Face the Nation on Sunday.
Of course, this is toothless if the President can just drag America into WWIII. After all, Trump bombed Iran after Massie said that he would bring the AUMF up for a vote in the House. However, symbolic acts can be effective. MAGA may be looking for a new leader, now that Trump chose Israel over his base of support. This could be the beginning of Congress reasserting their authority.[6]
Optimistically, Trump had two tweets on Truth Social that thanked Iran for warning about their attacks so that no Americans were killed and said that Iran and Israel had agreed to peace. 4-D chess? Caving to public pressure? Did Iran leverage our debt?
I guess that I will find out when I wake up tomorrow morning. Tel Aviv and Tehran are bombing each other right now, per twitter.
Let us hope that the people whom we are bombing haven’t exploited are late open borders to prepare retaliatory strikes. Blowback is real.[7]
