DOGE III: The Honeymoon Is Over

Trump’s “one, big, beautiful bill” is now before the US Senate. It is not popular with members of the Senate who want to shrink government, like Rand Paul. Elon Musk tweeted out that it was an abomination. The MAGA honeymoon is over. Hyperinflation or bust!

The White House tweeted a post from Trump’s Truth Social platforms, saying that the new federal spending bill would cut spending. It is such an obvious lie.

Trump also went after Senator Rand Paul on Truth Social. The Senator had been interviewed on CNBC this morning, stating that he did not want to increase the debt ceiling by $5 trillion.[1]

Rand defended Trump all through Russiagate, and in plenty of other cases when it was unfashionable to do so.

In response to today’s news, Elon Musk tweeted out that the bill was an abomination. No wonder he left DOGE. The honeymoon is over.[2]

It is time to make tough decisions. Hyperinflation or bust!

If history and Trump’s first term are indicators, then it will be hyperinflation. No Congressman will get elected by promising to defund grandma’s social security income for lack of money. Congress will scape-goat the Federal Reserve for not financing their spending via the printing press. The hard times have only just begun.

The Constitution was made for hard times.
